With sports performance and fitness training experience that covers more than two decades,  I have spent a large part of my life involved in bettering my life and the lives of others through fitness.  As an active youth I participated in sports, including baseball, football, basketball, track and field and tennis.  Later as a high school athlete, I competed in basketball, football and track and field, earning All Conference honors in the latter two.  During this time I also became involved in gymnastics as a way to increase my flexibility, but soon realized that the corresponding core strength gains translated to other sports. It was at that time that I learned the importance of multi-faceted training or "cross training".  I applied this knowledge to creating my own training programs that contributed greatly to my success, setting school records that still stand today.
During the ensuing years I attended the University of Arizona, majoring in microbiology and continuing  to train very seriously, first as a bodybuilder and then as a powerlifter. After college, in addition to my regular 40 hour work week at a government job, I began to design training programs for several people and became an advisor to many others, including a future NFL first round draft pick.  With the explosion of the fitness industry, I decided to apply my knowledge and experience to a  more professional setting.  I enrolled in the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) Certified Fitness Trainer course, completing the curriculum and passing the exam in 2003.  Later that year, I founded Kevin's Mobile Fitness, an in-home personal training service, which operated successfully for two years.  In early 2005, I opened my personal training studio, Body Focus Fitness.  In the years since, I have continued to expand my knowledge base, with certification studies in sport specific training and becoming a Crossfit Certified Kettlebell Instructor.  Most recently I earned the title Personal Trainer Level 2 from the National Health Educators.

Christine Anderson
ISSA Certified CFT
As a multi-sport athlete, Christine Anderson has excelled at many levels.  An accomplished high school athlete and honor student, she also earned college scholarship offers for softball and soccer, the latter of which led to her participation in the olympic soccer program.   Post college, Christine founded Fresh Paint Studios, an interior decorative paint company which operates successfully to this day. Throughout this time, she found the time to compete in soccer, at times playing in two or three teams at once, all while raising her two children on her own.  Several years ago she was exposed to kettlebells.  She quickly realized that they had an amazing effect on her speed, quickness and overall fitness.  She was hooked.  Before long she became proficient in all of the major kettlebell movements, and due to her love of sports and fitness, Christine made the decision to pursue a career as a personal trainer.  She became certified by the ISSA as a personal trainer, and now runs two successful bootcamps in the valley.
