Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a method by which you modify venous blood flow by use of bands wrapped around a limb. This restriction creates an environment in which strength and muscle growth gains can be achieved using very light weights that are similar to the results seen using very heavy weights. Even BFR walking programs have shown measurable gains in muscle size and VO2 max. Whether used as a stand alone or an add-on to your existing routine you can add some serious kick to your workout.
